And an irresponsible one at that. I took my sick kids to infest the polling place today. It was pretty empty, so I don’t feel too guilty. And I think only one of them is sick now, but don’t quote me on that. I also took them to the grocery store, which I wouldn’t have done if it weren’t necessary to feed the children (sick though they may be) and to resupply my real sugar Dr. Pepper stash.
Post voting, I was approached to do an exit poll. How exciting! So, I polled and now I’m being compiled and analyzed and demographied: white woman, 30-39, evangelical Christian, very conservative, and not horribly thrilled with her choices in this election. I don’t like limitations of polling; they leave no room for nuance and subtleties and thoughtfulness. But I did it anyway. So when you hear exit polling analysis of the GOP in Texas, that’s me!

Ooh! I’ll be so excited to know I know one of those random points on the graph. : )
I thought it was funny when I went to vote. A chair was placed in the parking lot with a sign denoting the obligatory 100 feet from the voting place for exit polling, but the parking lot only had a few cars. Where was everyone? Maybe they were home still trying to figure out who to vote for like my husband. He did vote, but he didn’t like it. 🙁
I, too, dislike the narrowness of polling questions. But complete sentences cannot be analyzed in a computer. I’ll look for your dot though! 🙂
Hope your little ones feel better soon.
I was the only one at my precinct at 11:00 am. Thus far, I haven’t heard about my dots. Only the democratic dots. I feel so neglected.
