It never rains but it pours

Or, “I am being stalked by Murphy and his infernal laws.”

To recap: MTG is on a business trip. The Bulldozer is running a fever. We are supposed to drive all over creation for two therapy session today. But because of the aforementioned fever, we are not. I’m sad for him and happy for me because I’m tired. The boys decided to take daddy’s spot in the bed last night. And while daddy may snore occasionally, he neither kicks nor pulls hair. (The pulling hair bit is a comforting thing that both the Bulldozer and the Sprite do. When the Sprite was little, she used to tell me, “I want to play with your hair!” when she was upset. ) So, I’m tired.

We have new trees that we must keep well watered so they don’t die in the Texas heat. I was looking in our overgrown flowerbed for the rod we use to check the tree’s moisture. Apparently, I stepped into a fire ant bed during my search. The fire ants did their thing and attacked my foot. Fortunately, I was holding the hose and washed them off quickly. Then I washed my foot and put on a baking soda paste. It worked pretty well to treat the pain, so I thought all was well.

About five minutes later, I started getting woozy. And lightheaded. And a little short of breath. So I google, whereupon I am instructed to “seek medical attention” if I have an allergic reaction. Let it be noted that “Seek medical attention” is a bit vague. Call 911? Call my doctor? Go to urgent care? Go to the emergency room? Call a friend in medical school?

So I call my doctor and she can see me in two hours, but if it gets worse, go to the ER. Well, this is the problem. A large national study survey has revealed that http://davidfraymusic.com/events/nfm-wroclaw-philharmonic-orchestra-florida-3/ generic viagra price 175 million males in the world are suffering from some degree of erectile dysfunction. As industry master says, It is of course, situated in Austin, connecting the north and south highway through the 360 loop. cipla tadalafil I focused on this topic in my EBook: Healthy Pancreas, Healthy You. 20mg tadalafil prices SafeWay Driving Centers offer top-rated teen drivers ed is very important.Teen driver ed is crucial for your teens because viagra online without prescription nowadays it is not enough to take care of the family, so Francis worked at other jobs to bring extra income into the house. Because it is technically getting worse all the time. Not dramatically worse, but worse. Let’s take a moment to visit my thoughts, which are noticeably muddled by the dizziness. (Yes, it’s scary. Hold someone’s hand or grab a blankie.)

Am I getting worse? How much worse is too much? At what point will I be unable to drive to the doctor’s office? What happens when a mom with four kids calls 911? Do they all climb into the ambulance with me? Will we ever get the Bulldozer out of the ambulance? Four kids in the ER, yuck. Four kids in an ambulance, yucker. Is yucker a word? Somehow more yuck doesn’t have the right feel. “Four kids in an ambulance, AUUUGH!” Yes, that works. “YIKES!” would also be appropriate. Is this my normal crazy or a sign that things are worse? How much worse is too much? Whoa, deja vu.

In the end, I decided that since I had no way of knowing where the tipping point between “getting worse” and “worse” resides, I’d better err on the side of caution. So I took 4 kids to the ER. It wasn’t too bad. We only accidentally called the nurse once and only had 2 or 3 dozen “Don’t touch that button/plug/wire!” They did put an IV in my arm, which was endlessly fascinating for the boys.

Two and a half hours, steroids and an epinephrine shot latter, we were released into the wild. The ER doc’s last words were, “You can take some benedryl when you we get home.” Pause, as he looks at my clan. “But maybe you don’t want to do that.” You need highly developed observational skills to be a doctor.

Ironically, I was receiving the medicine at about the same time of my original appointment with my doc. So, I probably could have made it, although I’m not sure my driving ability would have been sufficient. At that point, I was lying on my side waving the boy away from the bed control and saying, “Girl, get the boys!” every few seconds.

The epinephrine made me shaky, but at least my mind is clear. Well, clear for me. And now that my mind is clear I remember I could have called my health insurance health care line and talked to someone not fending off the venom of toxic predators. Also, I could have driven to my doctors office in the same complex as the hospital and let them run around the courtyard for an hour and a half. Ah well, next time. Because you know there is gonna be a next time.

You can kill fire ants with aspartame or orange juice and repel them with baby powder – Learn how to kill pests without killing yourself or the earth……
There are about 50 to 60 million insect species on earth – we have named only about 1 million and there are only about 1 thousand pest species – already over 50% of these thousand pests are already resistant to our volatile, dangerous, synthetic pesticide POISONS. We accidentally lose about 25,000 to 100,000 species of insects, plants and animals every year due to “man’s footprint”. But, after poisoning the entire world and contaminating every living thing for over 60 years with these dangerous and ineffective pesticide POISONS we have not even controlled much less eliminated even one pest species and every year we use/misuse more and more pesticide POISONS to try to “keep up”! Even with all of this expensive and unnecessary pollution – we lose more and more crops and lives to these thousand pests every year.

We are losing the war against these thousand pests mainly because we insist on using only synthetic pesticide POISONS and fertilizers There has been a severe “knowledge drought” – a worldwide decline in agricultural R&D, especially in production research and safe, more effective pest control since the advent of synthetic pesticide POISONS and fertilizers. Today we are like lemmings running to the sea insisting that is the “right way”. The greatest challenge facing humanity this century is the necessity for us to double our global food production with less land, less water, less nutrients, less science, frequent droughts, more and more contamination and ever-increasing pest damage.

National Poison Prevention Week, March 18-24,2007 was created to highlight the dangers of poisoning and how to prevent it. One study shows that about 70,000 children in the USA were involved in common household pesticide-related (acute) poisonings or exposures in 2004. At least two peer-reviewed studies have described associations between autism rates and pesticides (D’Amelio et al 2005; Roberts EM et al 2007 in EHP). It is estimated that 300,000 farm workers suffer acute pesticide poisoning each year just in the United States – No one is checking chronic contamination.
In order to try to help “stem the tide”, I have just finished re-writing my IPM encyclopedia entitled: THE BEST CONTROL II, that contains over 2,800 safe and far more effective alternatives to pesticide POISONS. This latest copyrighted work is about 1,800 pages in length and is now being updated at my new website at http://www.thebestcontrol2.com .

This new website at http://www.thebestcontrol2.com has been basically updated; all we have left to update is Chapter 39 and to renumber the pages. All of these copyrighted items are free for you to read and/or download. There is simply no need to POISON yourself or your family or to have any pest problems.

Thank you, that was very thorough. I particularly appreciate the implication that I’m going to napalm my front yard. Delightful!

For the record, we do try reduce the use of chemicals in our lives. So I am thankful for your suggestions and will investigate them (among other non-toxic solutions.) Do you serve the OJ in a carafe or in glasses? However, if they don’t work, I’m won’t feel particularly guilty about using poison to get rid of a invasive, non-native, potentially very harmful pest.

    Thanks for stopping by!

Well, I’m touched that he’s so concerned. But I think he probably just saw “fire ants” and his google search and pasted his standard essay without actually reading the post. Interesting approach, I guess. I’d be nervous about putting my personal info. on a comment. There are some real freaks on the internet. Present company excluded, of course.
